I choked while reading a column today. (Gotta quit reading political op-eds while I'm eating.) And I quote, "After a thorough two-year review of US aid efforts in Afghanistan, the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee emphasized, "The unintended consequences of pumping large amounts of money into a war zone cannot be underestimated."
Really? Can we do a little Robert Fulghum here? If we tried to learn something in kindergarten...
Take an ineffective kindergarten teacher and two large angry classes of kindergartners who have been fighting all school year. Drop them off in an enclosed space, say at a giant Chucky Cheese, and dump a huge heap of cash on the ground. Tell everyone to play nice. See how well that works for ya....
