When I clicked on glm's link and started reading, I was "interrupted" by a pop-up from the law firm offering to answer questions. Sounds like a class action is getting started.

Yes; it's advertised on my cable for patients that suffer a heart attack on dialysis (in-center)  to call for compensation.  It's very serious.

Dailysis patient for since 1999 and still kicking it strong.  I was called for a transplant but could not get it due to damage veins from extremely high blood pressure.  Have it under control now, on NxStage System but will receive dailysis for the rest of my life.  Does life sucks because of this.  ABOLUTELY NOT!  Life is what you make it good, bad, sick, or healthy.  Praise God I'm still functioning as a normal person just have to take extra steps.

Every box in my house is under recall. They've just told doctors to double check how much of it they're prescribing.

I contacted the lawyers about it from the ad- its not a class action suit- they are taking it case by case and if you suffered multiple hospitalizations or heart attack  or whatever they will consider you....

This is so scarry for all the patients on this.
I remember when Baxters recalled our dialisate about 2 years ago because they found contamination in the factory may have got into the bags of fluid. It took them nearly 2 years to sorty this out, they had to close the factory which was in Ireland and we had to have our fluid from other countries.
What is annoying is that they know about it but it takes months to filter through to us the patients.
Hope they sort this out quickly.

This is scary! I haven't had a heart attack but I have been sent to the ER several times for chest pains. I wonder if it had something to do with this, like my body warning me?!

Could be, i say it wouldnt hurt to call that lawyer... Even if you wouldnt get money for it, at least it would be on file and let those companies know they cant screw with us. We have to be proactive, before someone gets really hurt badly from this. Dialysis is supposed to be giving us life, not causing our death.
