The more you know ...

« on: December 06, 2011, 11:59:41 PM »

I apologize if there already is a thread, but I couldn't find one.

I am wondering if there is a way to find any and all in-center nocturnal clinics around the USA without having to call around. www.dialysisfinder.com only shows nocturnal if it's a DaVita center; I know of a Fresenius nocturnal clinic in the area, but on dialysisfinder.com it doesn't even display that.

http://dialysis-centers.findthebest.com/ only shows if they have a shift available starting after 5 pm (which is pretty handy too).

Thanks.

Have you talked to your insurance company about what you're looking for ?  I am pre-D,  but in preparing and talking about "in' and 'out' of plan options,  I explained that for my first in center experience,  I was hoping for in center nocturnal.  Since it was all new to me and I was considering some out of network options,  my case manager was quick to search further and actually hooked me up with a center that does nocturnal.  I am hoping it is a good experience when the time comes. (AND that they still have available 'beds' when my time comes !!)

I'm looking for that to.  I've been told that transient patients (that is what they call us who travel) are limited to 3 hours.  I'm use to 8 so I'd be feeling bad with only 3 hours.
