....any time! I went for my transplant evaluation at University of Wisconsin - Madison last Wednesday, 7/18. Got the call today that I made it through the selection committee and that my transfer of waiting time (14 months!) has been approved as well. Next step is to wait for tissue typing and insurance approval which will be about three weeks. They told me to start making plans and getting things packed because this snowball is a rollin'.

"Asbestos Gelos" (As-bes-tos yay-lohs) Greek. Literally, "fireproof laughter". A term used by Homer for invincible laughter in the face of death and mortality.

Today I will not worry unless the animals start lining up 2 by 2.

Mogee, the average wait time for my blood type (A) is 3-5 years here in Chicago. I'm cutting this in a third by going up to Wisconsin.
