I started last Mon with a pain in my throat. Went to dialysis clinic Tues and mentioned it. The doc sent me for a CT scan. Results were maybe a cyst. Doc referred me to ENT. They can't see me for a week so I went to primary care doc. He sent me for an ultrasound and referred me to endocrinologist who gave me an appt IN JULY!!!

I called primary back and he's trying to get me an appt sooner. I'm so frustrated. My appetite is gone. I just don't feel good. Who knows what's wrong with me. I'll prob keep the ENT appt in 2 days so at least I see a doctor.

So the doc poked a needle in my throat. Ouch. Next week I get results then probably need surgery. Don't know yet if I get to keep my thyroid.

Ouch!  I hope the results show it's a "nothing much" and that you can get back to comfortable eating soon.

Same here BB.  How are things with you now Jeannea?  Are you going to have surgery or can this be resolved another way? Please let us know!

The whole thing is on hold. I got my transplant almost 2 weeks ago! I told them about the cyst and they called me anyway for the transplant. So I can deal with the thyroid in a few months. But I think the high steroids are helping with the cyst. One of my options was always to wait and see so I guess that's what I'm doing. The transplant was too important.
