Our other problem

Laurie has a lump in his groin which is painful especially when standing . He showed our GP today who said it was normal !!!??? Laurie is worried that it could be a hernia . Two years ago he had an angiogram to try and open up the artery to his left kidney , the procedure was unsuccessful . Two days after this was done , the site where they put the tube in ruptured and created a massive haematoma , this required surgery to correct , this is very close to the place where this lump has erupted . I am hoping this has something to do with it , as I believe a hernia would end his chances of continuing on CAPD . He will be devastated if he has to go on haemo - dialysis . He will have to show the neph at his next appointment .
 Anyone had anything similar happen ?

My husband has a harmless lypoma in his groin (It is a fatty lump about the size of a kiwi fruit). They never planned on doing anything to it, BUT it now presses against his transplanted kidney, causing some discomfort. If it gets worse, they may remove it....but we are simply biding time.

It sounds like a hernia to me, but Im not an expert. I have had 3 hernias since dialysis. Why would a hernia mean the end to CAPD? I fixed my hernias, and had to go on hemo for a few weeks.
