Hi guys,

I'm new to this site and I just want to say hi. My name is Jennifer and I have been on PD for 15 years now. I started when I was 16 years old and they found out my kidneys were too small for me. My story is pretty simple, I went from having nothing wrong to getting sicker and sicker till the doctor  finally drew blood to find out my creatinine was at 17 and gave me a water pill to bring it down. I went back to the hospital the next day to find out I had no changes and they put me on dialysis that night by placing a catherder in my neck.. (Oh btw I was wake for the whole time they were putting it in cuz I was too sick to put to sleep.) But when they placed it they popped my lung. So I was put into ICU, I had never been to the hospital before in my whole life and now I got the full tour! They got my lung back to normal and got me stabilized. After being on hemo for a few months I decided to go to PD. So far its been great and I have only had to have the tube replace once. I continue to live my life to the fullest and try to live a normal as I can.  This is really the first time I have ever really tried to go to different sites to talk to others with kidney problems. The reason I have started now is I'm trying to make some new friends and to meet some new people to talk with. So I guess I can tell you a bit about myself and if you want to talk some more hit me up.

Lets see where the start..  Well I live in the mountains in CA near Fresno. My family owns a alpaca ranch, so my job is to care and be a farmhand for the animals. I love all kinds of music from classical to pop. I love to watch good movies, just not horror or anime(sorry not my thing)lol. I few of my favorites are My Fair Lady, Inception, Robin Hood Men in tights and just about any Disney film. I have a sarcastic sense of humor and will say things that make you give me that look like are you for real.. I can tell you right now I'm not and don't take me too seriously. Its just how I deal with things. Also I love to make people laugh! Also I love all kinds of jokes from the cheap jokes to the rude ones. Really nothing you say will bother me. :D  I have been told before I'm a old soul cuz I love all those old movies and T.V shows. But I'm also a big kid at heart, love to see the good in the world and to have fun in life!. i love to text to keep in touch with people and I send a lot of time on facebook when I'm bored. lol. Like I said I'm new at this so I'm not very good. Sorry..Oh I can tell you this, my life is very crazy, I never know what will happen from one day to the next. One day it can be packed with things and the next nothing. It like living on a roller coaster and I just enjoy the ride!! LOL. Well I guess if you want to know more about me just ask me..You can ask me anything, I'm not bothered by any questions. Also if you just want to make a new friend too, to text or call I'm here too. Just let me know and I will give you number.

Welcome Jennifer...sounds like you have a good perspective on life given what you have gone thru.  Keep stopping by, and creep around all the other threads.  You will find some you will have the same sense of humor, (not me...oh no, not I)...like some of the "other" people here... ;D
