I am new to this message board.  I had a Liver transplant 13 yrs ago due to cryptogenic cirrhosis. My kidneys started to fail then. My creatinine was around 2.3 but over time increase to 4.3 today. My doctor has just scheduled me for surgery to put in a fistula. i am not looking forward to this.  :thumbdown;

hi Southpaw! (does your name refer to the stance? my husband's been teaching me mma stuff....)

I find it really interesting the points at which the docs think it's appropriate to get a fistula placed.  My creatinine was  5.something in January, and my doc still has not mentioned getting a fistula.  I guess because my other labs were ok, and I feel ok.

How are you feeling? Were your other labs out of wack?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. My name refers to me being left-handed.  Only 10% of the population is left-handed. We are a rare species. lol
I feel fine.  the only symptoms  are a little itchy and tired.
