The conversation between me and my stomach.

Stomach: I thought I told you, No food!

Me: Yeah but I was hungry, so I ate.

Stomach: Whatever…it’s your funeral. I am just going to get rid of it as soon as I can.     >:D Bring a book with you.

Really? I'm sorry to hear that (if I understand the post correctly!). I've had no stomach issues since tx, with the exception of it growing larger due to preds AND appetite AND enjoying foods long denied perhaps a little too much!!!

CellCept is hard on your intestines too. It could be that as well.

For me, it was Myfortic. I absorb it well, so when I first started taking it, I had stomach issues up the whazoo but no real appetite. Now that the dose has been cut in half twice, my appetite is back and I've gained a little weight! As for the issue of bringing a book - that has gotten better, since before the dosage cut, I was having that unpleasant side effect that makes you go to the bathroom too much and can dehydrate you (I hate saying or typing that word...). In other words, I'm NOT talking about the Liquid Gold!

I am on Myfortic and some days are better than others. I have a regular appetite and have no trouble eatting. I just always get the cramps and later on....... youknow what happens. I have actually lost weight since transplant. I am on 5mg of Predsinone a day. I maintain a weight between 127 to 130. I am 5 foot 5 inches. So I am at a good weight.

Yeah, if i keep drinking like a fish then it's not so bad. What a way to get me to drink tons of fluid!  ;D :sarcasm;

justme15 - your not kidding. I can eat the most benign thing like plain white rice and my stomach will bubble and gurgle.   ::)

CellCept and Myfortic are pretty much the same with a small change to the chemical molecule. Also Myfortic is extended release. But both should have the same side effects.

yeah, I joke about it, but in reality it is very frustrating to have plan my day according to using the bathroom.  I try not to eat much or at all if I know that I won't have access to a bathroom easily.

Strangely enought I don't have much of a problem during the day. About every other day, in the mornings I spend about 20 minutes in the bathroom.
They won't cut down my Myfortic because my immune system is so strong. I am on Myfortic and Prograf and my immune system still tests normal strength.
