After I drain my bag there is always some blood in the bottom of the bag.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

Yeah, that happens to me occasionally...like at least once a month. The link Sluff posted was to my thread where I bled for 5 days. It eventually went away though. You don't have your male/female sign up, so I'm not sure if you are m or f. Anyway, girls can get blood around that time of the month. Nothing major; it goes away. Other than that, if you are dry during the day, a little fluid left in there would help with that. The fluid keeps the tube floating so that it doesn't rub and irritate your peritoneum, which could be causing the bleeding. If neither of these is the case, then maybe you are on blood thinners? That would cause it too. None of these things is anything to worry about. Plus, it's not really that much blood coming out. If the entire bag was RED, then worry. Bring it to your dialysis center immediately. But just a drop of blood in fluid like that can look bad, so there's really not anything to worry about if your bag isn't red. Still let you center know just to make sure. They might want to test your bag to be on the safe side.
