I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everybody on ihd.com a very Happy Christmas.  You're an amazing bunch of people, and the love and support that is found here is truly remarkable.  You really do (well, most of you  :P) rock my little cotton socks and I feel blessed to know you (because of/despite your varied eccentricities and little foibles.)

So, have the bestest Christmas EVER (I know myself, Blokey and Our Kidney will, hopefully) and if you can't have the bestest Christmas ever, then I hope it's at least peaceful, hopeful and full of wonderful memories.

And please feel free to hijack this thread and wade in with your own Christmas wishes ... the more the merrier!

Love, *huggles* and all that jazz,

Poppy x

Wishing everybody a  Peaceful Christmas and Very happy, healthy New Year.

My wish for everybody is that everyone remain healthy in 2012 with no hospitals for anyone (unless there's a transplant involved)

May you all feel the peace that only this time of year can bring.

This is an updated re-post from last year:
As this year comes to an end I reflect on what has happened.  This site is such a blessing.  I often talk about the information it provides.  To say it is a great source of information would be an understatement.  IHD is so much more than a website to me.  Reading your posts I have laughed and I have cried.  Losing members deeply impacts my life.  It bring my own mortality into question but more importantly I feel that I have lost friends.  There are members who have passed that I miss so much. Then there are the triumphs that I get to share.  The 2011 list shows 33 transplants this year! Not just the transplants but the victories in your lives dialysis related or not.  You have offered advice, support and friendship.  We have joked and jabbed.  We have waved and hugged.  We have scolded and prayed for each other.  Sometimes it was a page, sometimes just a smiley.  Thank you all but mostly...thank you epoman.  I know you passed before I joined but you know I still talk to you once and awhile.  Here is to wishing you all a happy, healthy holiday and a great 2012 with more happy news than sad.
God bless you all,
Marc

Thank you, YLGuy, for expressing your thoughts so well.

I also wish everyone here on IHD a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year and good luck in 2012.

Best wishes to everyone from Kristina.  :grouphug;
