roomate rant!

*rant*
My roomates are frustrating me. I don't know what to do. I'm the one with the disease, I only work part time yet I have to pull all the work. My roomates they work full time. They no way help me save money. First as most of you know your a/c is the most expensive appliance to run. Well they turn it down to 65 and 70 which causes it to run constantly and therefore run up my bill, I like it at 75/76 and that is fine with me. They won't help me pay a dime of the electric bill which they ran up, instead I have to pay it all. They talked me in ordering hd tv which doesn't benifit me since I can't see it, they told me they'd pay me for it, well guess what? I haven't seen a dime of it!
Now these roomates can go out to eat every single night of the week but they can't pay me for hd tv or an electric bill? There's something wrong with that!
They also refuse to let me cook and hid all of my blind friendly utensils, they also make me eat non kidney friendly meals and when I tell them not to put this or that on something cause I can't have it they still do and when I tell them I'm not suppose to eat that, they'll say "Well you're not dead yet." They also won't take me to the grocery store to get renal friendly meals.
Now you may be asking, how's the lease setup between you and these people? I'm the head decision maker, my name is on the lease, they are on there but as occupants only and the complex doesn't require for them to pay them directly. I just wish they'd leave and leave me to myself. I thought roomates were suppose to save you money? I feel I'm spending more then I'm saving with them and I've had enough! I work my ass off to support myself and this is what I get in return? It's not fair!
I need some advice on handling this issue, not only are they roomates but family too! It does no good talking to them because they only think about them selves, hince the electric bill issue of jacking the a/c.
I'm unhappy with my living situation and there's something that's gotta be done so I can find roomates that won't screw me around. How do I get them out of my home if they are going to do this to me?

Hello,
sullidog,
I am very sorry for your predicament.
When I was a student I shared a big flat with other students; we all needed to save money.
Each of us had their own room but we shared kitchen & bathroom-facilities.
I was constantly unwell and still tried to recover from my coma & kidney-failure.
The other students were healthy but they did not bother
whether the kitchen & bathroom were clean or not;
but I needed these facilities to be very clean at all times
to avoid endangering my poor health any further.
I also kept a very strict vegetarian diet to assist my kidneys,
whilst the others ate fast food and meat etc.,
This made our sharing the facilities in the flat very complicated and it did not work.
I do hope you find practical help to sort out your problem.
I know from my own experience that it won’t be easy.
I wish you good luck and send you my best wishes, Kristina.

If they have no lease with you or complex, then kick them to the curve! If they won't go, than get the authorities involved and have them removed! I know this has to be very difficult for you with not only kidney probs, but with blindness too! How rude of these people to take advantage of you. That is just not right!!!
I say get rid of the varments!

P.S. when you do, have someone you trust to help you find roommates that are "suitable". Use your friends "eyes"to help you look!

I think most states have laws that if someone lives in a dwelling and even if they are not on the lease as the primary renter and just a occupant you have to go to court to have them removed. I think it can be done through small claims court and see if your county has something along the lines of free legal advice for people with disabilities. If not you can probably track down a website that has info about rental leases for your state and sometimes a forum that has lawyers who give advice.
If you go the route of trying to have them put out of the dwelling I think most states have laws that after the judgement the occupants have anywhere from thirty to ninety days to leave. Also depending on where you live it could take a month or longer to get into small claims court. If all of this applies in your case you may want to weigh the odds and possible repercussions waiting for them to vacate the premises.
All of this is speculative on my part, I am older now and trying to remember the various scenarios I would hear about when I was younger with friends or co-workers.
Good luck and if the HD cable is in your name I would drop it and just inform your roommates you can't afford it and try and adjust the thermostat as often as you could and just be honest and say it is costing you too much.

Let me rephrase it then: Kick them out and change locks on your doors. If they don't like it, then tell them to sue you!
