Hello from Florida, USA

I have been on HD for about 3 years now. I started in Massachusetts and have moved to Florida. At first I got listed in Mass. at Mass. General, then was taken off the list because of a disagreemet with a doctor. I moved to FDla. I went through all the hoops to get lsited here and was rejected again because one doctor, not a specialist, said I could possibly develop an infection and that medications curently on for back pain would interfere with post transplant medications. They would not discuss changing some of those medications, so it's time for rejection again. This is only part of the story about how esrd has ruined my life. I do hate dialysis and ..well..you all know the rest.

Hi Unlucky, and welcome to IHD. I'm so glad you were lucky enough to find us. You will like it here. Go to Transplant Stories and tell us the rest of the story of you "trying" to become listed. I bet some folks on here could give you some ideas to fire back at that doctor.
Hope you are doing well otherwise.

Hi Unlucky and welcome to our group!
I hope you find enough info and ammunition here to fire back at that doctor and get listed!

I think you should change your screen name to "ThisMakesNoSense". I am really curious to learn more about EXACTLY why your docs are objecting to you being listed.

Welcome, Unlucky! What a quandry you are in! Well when you learn from others on how to fire back at doc, why not look into doing D. at home? It is so much better than In-Center. Seriously, could you not do PD or Nxstage while waiting for transplant acceptance?
That way, when you find out Yea or Na to transplant, well you can continue to Dialysize at home! Sounds like a plan to me!
Sorry you are going through all this nonsense with doc's. They really havent a clue as to what you go through!
God Bless you and please continue to keep us posted!
