LUFKIN (KYTX) -- The capital murder trail of a Lufkin nurse who stands accused of killing five dialysis patients by injecting them with bleach is set for September.
Kimberly Clark Saenz, 37, faces the death penalty. The allegations against her came to light in April 2008. Saenz worked for DaVita Dialysis for eight months. A statement by two patients at the center stated that they witnessed Saenz fill a syringe with bleach and inject the substance into two patients' dialysis lines. Those two patients survied.
Saenz's lawyer maintains that his client, a mother of two, has no motive for the crime and is being used as a scapegoat for DaVita Dialysis.
