Well just thought I'd update you on the progress of not getting the right care at my center.
So over the weekend I went on vacation, I dialyzed somewhere else, this center was really great to me. While there I find that my regular center is not following my orders. My treatment time is 3 hours, but my center has ran me for 2 and a half and they claim that's what is in the computer. I told my nephs nurse practitioner and she said she'd check to see what my real time was and today they ran me again for 2 and a half hours. I do not remember cutting any time or having a discussion about it. They did cut me back to 3 hrs do to a high clearence which I knew about but this recent one I had no clew about. Then today we got a new manager, I discussed these issues with him because ever since I got this one tech she feels the need to not give me back the minimum fluid that the machine pulls to clean the blood. I urinate very well still so I have to go out the same weight I came in to feel half way decent. This tech has been running me too dry, in fact dry enough where after dialysis I have hart palputations just by walking up the stairs, they're gone by the next day so I know it's a fluid issue, plus I come out weighing less then when I went in.
Anyways, today the new manager and my neph's nurse practitioner both talk to the charge nurse, well they give me this same tech and yet again she doesn't give me my flushes, and I left with a bp of 112 over 62 which is normal but low for me because my body doesn't know that bp or at least it hasn't for a while. I told them I didn't want to leave with that low of bp and they said it's ok, you have to leave now you are done. Again I started having the heart palputations. I'm going to talk to the manager and my neph about this again because odviously both of their discussions didn't get through their thick sculls or that tech's thick scull. They are going to give me a heart disease because of their crap of not following orders.
I could just leave, but I'm going to give this new FA a chance, plus I don't wanna back down and just let them win.

I hope you are documenting this.

Maybe you should try getting your neph to put your treatment in writing for YOU. Then you could insist that this tech sign off that she is disregarding your prescription. Explain kindly to her that you want your family to have this information in case you should die unexpectedly from the heart problems her choices are causing.

Meow!

Sullydog is there no higher authority you can go to like some kind of local health authority? what you describe is disgraceful. You need to escalate this to higher up the food chain and get this sorted before these lunatics at your clinic do you some permanent health damage.
Good Luck and please keep us posted. :grouphug;
