Hello everyone,

I have popped into this forum a few times for inspiration and information and I thought I finally should become a member.  I had Sarcoid of the endocrine system at 19 and calcified my kidneys.  Low protein diet for 11 years, Dialysis for 5 years, Transplant for 7 years and then rejection followed by the last two years on Dialysis again.

All that said I have been extremely lucky and have a fantastic wife and three kids - my five year old is currently standing next to me.  I have managed to work all the way through Dialysis and it is only in the last year I have gone part time after 80 hour weeks as a senior executive.

This has given me the money to travel and I have dialysed in the US (Chicago), New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Paris, extensively in Australia and last week Beijing, China!  I am pretty good at the system here and around Asia and happy to answer questions.

I will post more on Dialysis and travel - particularly Beijing Hospital shortly.  Thanks for the site and I look forward to posting and being around the boards.

Thanks

Peter
