I have been lurking for awhile just tryin' to get my feet wet here.

I'm a female, 53 years old and my kidney's failed me this past November. I started on hemo via a catheter soon after and I'm now doing PD with a few complications.

I'm still a quiet person but do have questions just like a lot of newbies.

Birdy...

Hi, Birdy!  :waving;

 :welcomesign;

So glad you de-lurked.  :2thumbsup;

If you can't find the answers to your questions in the forums, just ask away! There is likely someone who can answer them!

Hi Birdy and welcome to IHD.  Is that your dog?  What a sweetheart!  I'm so glad you joined us.  Ask away.  It also helps, if you are the quiet type, to just read the topics already posted.  I think we have covered everything like 20 times.  But, you never know when something new comes up.

Come here and hang out.

 :welcomesign; Birdy  :)  Since you've been 'lurking'  ;) you already know what a great place this is  :flower; so i'll just add to the rest here my welcome to you and please feel comfortable to ask what ever you need/want to ask.  Theres a few here who either have been or are on PD so they will be of great help.  Hubby is on NxStage and so far, it's been the greatest thing for us.  Hope you get what your looking for here.  Some pretty amazing people for support..

Glad you are here, Birdy.  And I love your name - it makes me smile.  I hope you can find answers here.  I have learned more here than from all my doctors together.  After several years here, I still have questions.  There are very caring people here who are always ready to help.  Welcome to IHD.   :2thumbsup;
