Thanks to everyone for your good wishes, prayers, virtual walkers and donations for April 2nd.  Our team "Walking for Nana and Nina" was the second highest fund raiser.  AlohaBeth did so much for the walk this year; getting foods donated by Trader Joes,Starbucks and Whole Foods. The area director left so many things undone and Beth came behind her 2 weeks before the walk and straightened out the mess.

On Wednesday, the state Director came to Raleigh and asked Beth to go to lunch with her.  She wants Beth to become the Area Director!  Beth loves her job with the Methodist Home for Children and doesn't want to leave it.  So, they are trying to get approval for 2 part time jobs instead of 1 full time job. The Director wants Beth to be the Special Events Director.  She could work from home.  Beth is giving it a lot of thought.  In the meantime; they have asked Beth if she will be on the State Board for NKF. All because of the amount of knowledge and passion she has regarding kidney disease.  Who does she have to thank for all that knowledge??  IHATEDIALYSIS.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     She told the State Director about the website and she replied " this would be good information to share with everyone at Kidney Walks" !!   There is even the possibility of a booth for IHD next year at the walk.  (Admins -- I will email info to you for approval - nothing happens without your approval)     I am very proud of Beth.  She wants to make a difference and make things happen. She doesn't just talk about it, she is out there doing it!  Well let you know what happens.    Thanks again, to all who helped. We kept all of you in out thoughts that day and know you were there in spirit.    :2thumbsup;
