Hi Dialysis and transplanted chums,
My husband has been doing CAPD for about 4 months. For the past two days he has been complaining of pain in his groin on the right hand side. Is this linked to the CAPD? He does not want to see a doctor and the PD nurse is not due for a visit until next week. Any advise folks?

When does he feel the pain?  Only during the drain?
If not only during the pdrain he may have a small hernia or tear.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for replying so speedily  - I love this site!!
It is not only during the drain - when prodded it is not painful - only certain movements - I can't feel anything like a hernia  - but maybe a pulled muscle??
Is this a common affliction for people doing CAPD?
