Hi,
I am Bill and I have been on dialysis for 12 years up in Maine.  Like may of you, I was searching for something to cover up my unsitely bulging fistula during the warm weather when I wore short sleave shirts.  I made the mistake of trying an athletic sweat band, but found that it was dangerously constrictive. Bad Idea! I ended up having a clotted fistula and had to go in for the "roto-route"...not fun.  :( I ended up designing a stretchy fabric sleave that would be non-restrictive yet still offer some protection from the sun and minor cuts and abrasions. I ended up wearing mine all the time.  Others at my center started asking me to have some made for them as well.  I decided to make these available to dialysis patients everywhere.  Check out my site  www.dialysisarmbands.com .  We will ship these anywhere in the world and satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.

Hi Bill! 12 years old...and I thought facing this at 19 was awful. :(

Some of the other members and myself were talking about something like this the other day, haha. But it looks like you beat us to it!

Quite inventive for a 12 year old!    :rofl;

Welcome to IHD.  As you can see we are a crazy group.  I hope you join to get something out of our site besides orders.  There is a lot of great information on her.  My fistula is on my upper arm so I do okay with mid-length sleeves.

Glad you found us.
