I think I would feel more comfortable if my creatinine was lower. But I have had a number of people tell me that creatinine can be jumpy. I just always associated low creatinine with kidney doing great.....no worries.
With my1st transplant I didn't really worry about rejection. Now...with this new kidney> I do think about it.

A good friend of mine, George, started the Quarter Century Club a few years ago.  Its been mentioned on here a few times.  Its an informal internet based club for people who have had transplants over 25 years.  themselves and die young and those who drink, smoke and have an unhealthy diet that will live to be 100.  But myself I'll play the odds.
O wow Bill, now that's something to look forward too!  Though 6 years is a long time and "they've" only given us a year or two more, if Gregory gets another 6 years then he could join that club.  Gives a girl something to dream about.   ;)

Re creatanine ranges. A doc told me the other day that patients have different "stable" levels post transplant and you can't compare yourself to the next person because each case is different, and let's say I am stable around creat 140, and the next guy is at 80, and the woman over there is at 180 doesn't mean that the woman is worse off than the guy who is 100 less. The key she was saying is that it's stable. If it trends up, then THAT is obviously a cause for concern, but if it stays around a certain range and everything else is in order then don't get carried away hoping to get into a "normal" range (which she claims  is 60-105 on our scale) because it may never happen and the stress is not worth it. She said she knows some patients perfectly fine after 10 years at a level around 180. Now if it goes over 200.. yeah time to investigate, but it certainly made me worry a whole lot less than I was bouncing around between 130-140 and not really going much lower(yet, anyway!) and that it still wasn't officially in the "normal" range. As others here have said their "stable" numbers also vary widely.

80 = 1.05 US
130 = 1.7 US
140 = 1.84 US
180 = 2.36 US
