I know that a couple of others here were and maybe still are doing a bathroom reno, and so was I.  Mine is finally done so here are a few photos.  I'm especially happy with the tiles and tile trim that I chose.  The white wall tiles are 12''x18" ceramic and are a matte finish and  the floor tiles are 12"x24" porcelain with a semi-polished finish.  The mosaic is made up of different pieces of polished and honed marble in various shades, some amber glass tile pieces and the shiniest ones are mother of pearl.

Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

ohhhh it's just BEAUTIFUL!!   i love what ya had done and if i could make over a room, it would be my bathroom (even though when we bougt the house, it was one of the reasons i LOVED it..lol..........)  I love new bathrooms though and yours is gorgeous!!!

Oooo yes, that's very nice indeed.  Nice taps.  Very nice mosaic.  And I love that you have a matching fluffy  bath mat.  So lovely. I do love a lovely bathroom.

1986: kidney failure at 19 years old, cause unknown
PD for a year, in-centre haemo for 4 years
Transplant 1 lasted 21 years (Lucy: 1991 - 2012), failed due to Transplant glomerulopathy
5 weeks Haemo 2012
Transplant 2 (Maggie) installed Feb 13, 2013, returned to work June 17, 2013 average crea was 130, now is 140.
Infections in June / July, hospital 1-4 Aug for infections.

Over the years:  skin cancer; thyroidectomy, pneumonia; CMV; BK; 14 surgeries
Generally glossy and happy.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.

You have exceptional taste! The sheen on the mother of pearl is exquisite. And the bathmat just does it for me....  :2thumbsup;

This is mine, finally finished (although the electrician needs to come round to sort out a small issue with the light pully thing.)  The bathroom chap brought a professional photographer round, but these were taken by me.  The photographs don't really do it justice, but I really love my tiles (all white except for the two vertical strips of posh flowery ones by the bath which look amazing.)

Very nice Poppy.  You made the most of a small space and I especially like the big mirror.  The green is very relaxing and I really really like the vertical strip tiles.  Well done....I can feel how much you love using it.

Doesn't it look fabulous. Those flowers are fantastic, you're right.  And isn't it great to have such a beautiful clean shiny new bathroom!
