My renal unit is so full it has no spare chairs or machines. Tonight my chair was gone for repair and in its place — a bed! So I had my 3½ hours dialysis on a bed. They gave me a blanket.

I'm not sure which is the more comfortable though. Maybe the chair but the difference is slight.

I love being on a bed for the eight hours at night that I do dialysis.  I can sleep pretty good.  It made a big difference for me moving from a chair to a bed.

I wouldn't be able to sit in a chair for 8 hours.. I'd have to be on a bed..

When I first started HD, they had me on a bed all the time.  After a while, when I started feeling better, I asked if I could use the chair instead.  I still prefer a chair
