I was just wondering. I have had my cycler for a few months now, but I haven't cleaned it yet. It's starting to get a little dusty, and I was wondering how everyone else cleans theirs? What is safe to use on it?

You really need to clean the external surfaces of your cycler each day as part of your dialysis hygeine routine. I use Dettol anti-bacterial wipes followed by a quick alcowipe. Keeping the cycler spotlessly clean is essential in order to avoid  infection.

or, you can just wipe it down with the bleach solution and paper towels, that is how i do it :P  if you do it on a daily basis, the dust doesnt accumulate   :2thumbsup;

My PD nurse never told me anything about cleaning my machine. She actually forgot to mention a lot of stuff, but I have a new nurse now who knows more, or at least is telling me more.  :)
