RE Introduction

I'm going to reintroduce myself because it's been such a long time since I've been on this site. So much has happened I'm not sure where to begin. When I stopped coming to IHD.com it was because I went in to have my left kidney removed (over a year ago now) and right after the surgery, an unknown blood clot went straight to my heart and I had a massive heart attack. It took many months to recover, and a few months after that I developed pneumonia. Since then I started pursuing a transplant. I was weeks away from the assessment when I got a phone call from the Medical University of South Carolina, telling me that I will not be getting a kidney unless I agree to a heart transplant as well. Now I am a couple of weeks away from the assessment for the heart and kidney transplant. I have great hope and some fears, but I know, thanks to all of you, I'm not alone.

WOW , you've been through a lot. Its great that you joined and I wish you all the best as you go through the testing for a tansplant. Please visit often and let us know how things are going.

WoW!! first WElcome back!! and second, boy have you ever had some 'stuff' goen on! I thought i was kidding my hubby when i told him we're sending him in for a heart, kidney, AND pancreas.. Your goen for 2 out of 3 thats amazing!! We do have a friend who is now going on dialysis but he has a heart transplant and has done great with it.. Been many years now. Hope you keep in contact now so we can all remember to say our

OMG Carla, I'm so sorry but this site is so big anymore I don't notice when someone goes missing. I wish we had better control over that.

Welcome back to IHD! I am glad that you realized that this is the place to be. And I am glad that you realize that you are not alone. You IHD family will be with you through all that you have to go through

, and my caring thoughts and prayers are with you for a successful outcome. Don't leave us again. Stick with us, and we will be with you.
