I don't know how to go about this delicately enough but for the transplant patients out there...were you more horny after your transplant?  A lot hornier per chance?  Is it a side effect of the meds or just the new kidney doing it's magic?  Livecam...feels 14!  ;D

Well when you get a transplant you get all that energy you were lacking all back as if you have your own kidneys again! I remember it was like day and night for me! Not necessarily the sex part (I mean come on! I was only 16 :P and not like some of these kids today lol) but I definitely noticed a HUGE difference! So it does make sense!

.. and ya it makes sense to feel "more" on PD than on 3X/wk HD. I am not sure about home hemo .. but it does make sense!

When your on dialysis your hormones are decreased so naturally when you get a transplant they should all come back up. When I was on PD and constantly ill, I had no sex drive whatsoever, not a drop. Since starting nocturnal it has improved, but no where near as much as before the kidney failed. I also noticed after coming off antidepressants it came whooshing back and Id never been soo umm horny in all my life lol And the bad thing was, I was single!!!

I have no sex drive. I never really had much of one before my kidneys failed either... and that may be because I was on prednisone from the age of 12-17... and I was told many times by doctors that when taking prednisone our bodies dont put out any or as much hormones to say "hey your horny" because prednisone has something it puts out that makes our body think we already let that hormone out. Hope that made sense. So I was told since I was on it for so many years I may need hormone medicines to help me... but since i am on dialysis and single right now anyways, I dont bother with it... but if after transplant I still dont have a sex drive this time, I'll inquire about them.

I have no real problem with the sex drive.. just a problem with the energy to carry it out :(

All I can say is.. if this is a "side effect" bring on a transplant quick smart!!!! Gosh I sadly remember the days of being ABLE to "go all night!" now I just wish I could :(
