I go in and the scale is not always right! The thing that should be totally accurate! And the nurse puts a goal up that makes u cringe thinkin cramps, and u know u always leave feelin that tired far away feeling but the goal she put u will be crawling out of there after! U tell her.look I didnt drink that much! Krit line me! Oh no she says, have I ever been wrong with ur goal? YES YOU SAY TO YOURSELF.cause u just dont feel like arguin again. And u wonder is she gettin off on my misery? Probly not. Then a hour be4 u are done u are peacefully asleep, and wow! U pop up with a pain from cramps that bring tears to ur eyes! They shut u off 10min. U get through and she asks how do u feel? And u tell her u are real wiped and not well. U go home sick sleep for hours, puking.go back next treatment. She says how did u do? U tell her that treatment that day wrecked u! Her answer- huh? Maybe I took to much off?-- Grrrr!

Its a matter of trial and error to identify your dry weight because it can vary day by day. Having said that, ending with cramps is a sure sign something is wrong...too much fluid taken off or fluid taken off too quickly.

Take more than one weight.  Those darn digital things read differently depending on where you stand, if you shift, etc.  I also found it really helpful to have a good scale of my own at home.  I monitored my weight several times a day on the days off, and then I knew where I was at.

I set my own goals in-center.  "Take off this much."  Period.  The nurses adapt!
