G'day Sillysar and welcome!! Sorry you've had a much sooner introduction to dialysis than you anticipated. Don't worry you can still enjoy your "dirty 30's" (alas I am just about to leave them, and still feel WAY too clean!!  :rofl;) even with dialysis. I am interested that you are initially doing 2x/week - like another member's husband was until he suffered a serious incident with way too high Potassium. That's an interesting way to introduce you to D. Do you have any fluid restrictions or anything like that? Monday to Friday is quite a stretch - as you've no doube noticed from folks here the usual for Hemo Dialysis is 3x/week, which would be Mon-Wed-Fri in your case. Still I hope you can stay at 2x!

I'm glad you're with us and hopefully we can help you adjust and make the most of this stage of life!

You're not taking the adjustment well?  I admire your honesty.  I don't think anyone takes it well, hence the name of this website.  But there are lots of people here who will help you through this.  I'm so glad you've joined us.  I really think we can help make things a tiny bit easier for you.

Hello sillysar30, and welcome to IHD.  I'm so sorry you have to be on dialysis, but on the bright side it is only twice a week.  I know..... that is twice more than you want to go!  Hang in there.

I do hope you come here often.

Welcome friend, we are all in the same boat here, but there are many who will tell you that you can have dialysis and still have a life. But be careful with only 2 short sessions a week.
