Hi All....

Last Wed, a group of carers, carees, and Carers Representative Organisations decended on the Dail to tell the powers that be to keep their cuts off carers.... The work each carer does out of love, saves the state tens of thousands of euro rather than leaving the state to look after their loved one in VERY expensive Nursing Homes...

Submission is here if anyone's interested... http://www.carersireland.com/userfiles/file/PreBudget%20Submission%202011(4).pdf

Pictures below taken on the day....

First pic shows me with Enda (Carers Assoc. CEO), and a gentleman whose lovely wife cares for him....

Second pic shows us leaving the Dail building after presenting our submission to Government, and Opposition Parties....

Third pic shows Cathy (My local Carers Centre Manager), Charlie O'Connor (My local member of Parliment), and I....

Love to all.....

Darth....
