In the early days of your transplant they increase and decrease your immunos to try and dial in the right amount of coverage, so I wouldn't worry. Ask if they can fax your lab slips to you and keep them in a folder. That way you can follow your progress and see what the changes do. Do you know your creatinine level now?

It was a balancing act with the Prograf with Jenna. They wanted to keep the lab trough level up, but if the creatinine would go up they would worry about Prograf toxicity, which can damage the kidney. Every time they increased or decreased the Prograf, we would recheck just that lab in a week (not do a whole panel again.)

The immunos sure are a balancing act, aren't they?
What are you on altogether?

I'm on 2/2 Prograf currently and even though I'm just two months from my 2nd kidney anniversary my doctor still adjusts my Prograf when needed.  Every once in a while he'll raise me to 3/2 and then back to 2/2.  My level is right in the middle of where he wants it to be now.  But it could raise or lower any time.  I don't know what causes it.

Don't worry.  1.46 is good.  You're kidney is still new.  :)

They are going to continue to fiddle with med levels for ages.  As they step down one, it will change how much you need of another, and vice versa.  Changes in weight or diet can cause changes to your levels as well.  (How it absorbs is affected by the food you eat, and when you eat it compared to when you take the meds.)  So try not to stress about it - it's normal for them to keep tweaking.

Went to clinic again today! Had my labs drawn and everythings stable still! I also had a ultrasound to make sure there is no fluid surrounding the kidney. I also had a urine test. Hopefully things turn out okay it was kind of nerve racking! They also removed a few of the staples  :cheer: I think they needed to be removed they were causing me discomfort and not helping the whole draining process i bet either. It was a long day but I like going to clinics and lab, I like being able to voice my concerns, and be reassured that what is going on is normal. My white blood count was slightly elevated today but they think its nothing to worry about but thats why they ran  a few tests! Will keep you guys updated if anything happens!  :flower;
