Kitkatz is in the hospital

Hey IHD family
This is Maria, kitkats daughter filling you in on her absence from the boards. She is in the hospital again, this time due to a possible catheter infection.
Dialysis sent her in on Friday night, because her temperature spiked high and she had the chills. The er doc told er he was admitting her and they have been pumping her full of antibiotics and are waiting for the lab results to come back. They were going to replace the catheter yesterday, I will update you on that after I speak with her tonight. I will also try to get her hospital number, but she does have her cell on her if you want to reach her.
As always please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
Maria

Ahhhh, that stinks! She's been through enough already.
Thanks for the update, Maria. I'll be thinking about her.
And make sure they give her some good drugs before they put in the cath this time!

Thanks Maria. Your Mom has been through way too much the past few months. She justs starts to do get better and something else goes wrong. Please give her our love and tell her not to worry about IHD. She needs to focus on herself and healing. We'll be watching for more updates.

Not the weekend and beginning of the week I had planned. I swear Kaiser is my personal purgatory every time I go there!!!
As you can see I am home finally after Sat, Sun, Mon and art of Tues. in the hospital. I had a possible line infection in my catheter. Holy crap! It came on fast, too. I was fine all day Friday looking forward to a nice weekend and then Friday night at dialysis, wham! a fever of 101.3, a trip to Kaiser ER and a four day hospital stay!
They took out the cath and put in a new one. OUCHIES! I am sore, but glad to be home.

School starts tomorrow for teachers. I have been working in my room with help the last two days. Tylenol with codeine is my best friend right now. I am working slowly on things. I shall remember to teach sitting down next week.
