We switched Franks Fridays dialysis session to Saturday am because we had company from out of state on Friday. He was over tired because of all the excitement Friday & when I got him home he was really out of it. I had to wheel him up the ramp (we have a wheelchair ramp built a couple years ago for my Dad) & into the bedroom. From the wheelchair to the bed is only about 5 steps with a quarter turn. He did the first 3 steps holding on to me but I couldn't get him to move the next 2 steps to get him into position to get him into the bed. I kept saying 2 steps to the right, over & over. So finally I said "shuffle to the right" which is a dance move from our line dancing which we have been doing for years on Friday nights. Sure enough he shuffled to the right & landed perfectly for me to swing his legs up into bed. This has made me smile many times since it happened. This morning when he was awake & clear headed I told him about it. We both where laughing. Our nurse who comes to the house has a ringtone that always gets him moving his arms like he's dancing.

What a great memory to create....you are a special lady and I'm sure Frank knows that.   Keeping your sense of humor is SO important.   :grouphug;
