My dear daughter

« on: August 11, 2010, 04:52:50 PM »

I am about 10 weeks out from the transplant and doing well.  I am almost normal physically but need to build up my stamina.  The problem is that I've had a minor chest cold for 3 weeks.  I talked to the transplant center and they did not seem too concerned because I don't have a fever.  I't one of those colds you catch in the summer from too much air conditioning

Cold medication doesn't really help much as it is more of an irritation that anything else.  I don't really feel bad, but I am conjested.  I am going to my primary care doctor next week.  Any one else going through this?

Sorry about the chest cold. Air conditioning can be a problem sometimes if you are prone to respiratory issues.
I hope the doctor can help you figure this out so you feel better soon. It's good to know the transplant center doesn't seem to feel it is a problem for your new kidney. Get better soon.
