She lost a good friend and is having a very hard time dealing with it.  Jeffrey was having back pain, went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.  He died a week later.  26 and with such a bright, promising future ahead.  He didn't have time to fall in love, to marry, to have children, to see his career plan move forward.  He was funny, talented and saw life through his camera lens.  He always had a different take on everything in life.  Beth doesn't want anyone telling her about "God's plan", he is in a better place, etc.   Her heart is hurting. And she wants Jeffrey to still be here.   He always had Beth help with his independent films and appreciated her eye when filming.    All I can do is let her cry and be mad. Time will help, but not today.    :'(

So sad for this young man's family and friends.... May he rest in peace...

Paris, AlohaBeth will get through this... With a mum like you, because of the strength of character you have instilled in her, she'll come out the other end stronger... Maybe a little bit poorer in spirit for the loss of her friend, but smiling, and marching on... Because like you, and everyone who has to deal with KD knows, life is too short!!!... Live it to the full!....

Love....

She has every right to cry and be mad.  And there is no way to spin it.  I don't want to believe that God planned this....I don't want to know that that sort of God exists.

My uncle died of the exact same thing. It was quick. Just way to young. Rest in peace Jeffery.  I don't know what to say for Beth but please know my thoughts are with you today and in the near future until you are at peace with what has happened.  :grouphug;

Please tell Beth I am sorry she lost her friend. I know we all have to lose our friends, but this is way too young to start. I have seen more then one person die of cancer and when I hear a story like this one, I am amazed. How does that happen? Dont they feel pain? Dont they lose weight and get sickly looking? How can this be, 4 weeks from diagnosis to death. I guess I will never understand some things. Hugs for Beth.

oh no my poor dear Beth. If I could send her a message I would(but we all know my luck with sending texts to her!). It's so sad to lose a friend - specially so young. I guess all AB can take from it is that it was quick for him so hopefully not much pain.

I am sending her supportive hugs

Horrible news.  I am so sorry the family and Beth have to go through all of this.  Big hugs to Beth and her mama.

My grandmother used to say 'the old must and the young may' so be prepared.  I'm sorry Beth cannot be comforted, but we each must grieve in our own way.

Love, Mimi

Thank you all for your love and concern. She found her way to cope and  has made three pairs of shorts and a pleated skirt in three days.  She told me that when sewing, she only thinks about what she is doing and nothing else.   As you said, Mimi, we each grieve in our own way.  Yesterday she was able to get out pictures and videos of Jeffrey.  So, she is dealing with the reality.  Life is never easy, is it?    It does help to have people like all of you around    :cuddle;
