It was tragic how an unfortunate set of circumstances that involved alleged 'organ' broker operating under,  www.liver4you.org   Jerome Howard Feldman aka "Mitch Michaelson" that attributed to the early demise of my best friend of many years. I had taken Erwin  to the Philippines under the premise of saving his life. I have most recently created a web site to honor my friends memory as well as making available the full story as it unfolded at the time, in hopes of warning other people not to fall victim in a similar circumstance. Jerome Feldman hopefully will be sentenced on May 14, 2010 although his court sentencing has been adjourned 3 times now. Fortunately he has previously plead 'guilty'. I expect this will gain international media attention again if and when the Courts pass sentencing. There is much more to this whole story as I'm sure some of you will have figured out after visiting my website at www.organbrokerscam.com.

 :welcomesign; Welcome Brant,
I hope justice is served and Feldman gets what he deserves. As I had mentioned to you, many of us were aware of him - he kept spamming the site until he was told he could post only if he registered under the name "mitchorganbroker. " You may want to read his threads, he was determined to change people's minds but luckily our founder Epoman saw through his charade. http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=1334.0
I am so very sorry about the loss of your friend and what he went through in his last days. I admire you for keeping his story alive and I hope it helps others avoid the same outcome.
Best wishes,

Brant,  Thank you for telling your friend's story. " Mitch" tried his best to convince us that he was legit and could get kidneys for us.  It is good to see justice in progress.  We will be watching and waiting May 14th to see what happens.   I am so sorry about your friend.   I hope others can learn from your experience.   Welcome to IHD.

Hi all,
Thanks for your Welcome. I read the previous 'threads' when Mitch was busy spinning his web. Too bad that i didn't come across your site before this happened with my friend Erwin, i wouldn't have been involved myself at all. Unfortunately i took his girlfriend at her word that she checked this Mitch and his website out thoroughly and gave me assurances that he was legit. Problem was for myself, i was so busy at my workplace i never had much time  to do my own checking, only up until a couple days prior to committing going to Manila. When i first saw the liver 4 you site i had thought it to be quite amateurish and i suspected something, even challenging his girlfriend couple more times and she was most upset that i would challenge her by asking about this being legitimate. Well, as you can read between the lines, there's is much more that i can't really say, however, if just one person reads Erwin's sad ending  and it helps to save him/her or close relatives undue grief, then its a good thing of course. Beware at all ends~! Yes, hope third time around the sentencing is completed by the Court and not adjourned yet again.
You have a nice site and genuine warmth and feel upon visiting. Thanks. Brant.

I am not trying to take credit for anything here but I want you to know, I aggressively turned him and his organization into every possible entity from the IRS to the internet crime bureau. http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

I have no idea if anything I did worked but I do know a few higher ups that work in high up government security positions through the military, and was able to find out his real name and location. He traveled on victims crime money and lived a very hidden lavish lifestyle. That's all I can say without giving my contact people away but I hope I had something to do with it. I told that SOB I was going to find him and he would get caught. 6 months afterward he was picked up. Who ever was responsible for that, we owe the thanks to them. I am very sorry about your Loss.

Hi Sluff, thanks for your reply. It certainly takes all good people to do their bit in warning others regarding a suspected con person. Although there may not be immediate results as such, time has a way of catching up to those who prey on the vulnerable thinking they can keep on operating with impunity. Sounds like you certainly seen something wasn't right in the early days and you did your best to alert various authorities and people here on your site.

Although he did experience a lavish lifestyle the Prosecutor explained to me that he's in one of the toughest prisons awaiting his sentencing. Eventually i think he would have been found and caught, however how many more victims would have had to die or suffer from such a scheme. It's incomprehensible but as we all know there will be other similar criminals  waiting in the wings to take advantage of others in the worst way.

I think it's the first news-link i had placed in my web site where it basically explains by the t.v. reporters how this story broke after the FBI/Dewitt police finally caught him. While i was still there with Erwin in the city of Makati, his girlfriend had contacted the Dewitt police in New York state looking to see how she can get the $70,000 dollars back that was paid out to 'Mitch'. This was where the money was wired to a bank there. I had talked at length with the police upon my return back to Canada outlining the details of my own experience and  they begun their investigation, subsequently to bring in the FBI and other police authorities and then it snowballed from there. Unfortunately it had to take Erwin's life to trigger the capture of Feldman afterwards but many more victims will have been saved a similar fate from his scheme.

Perhaps the government authorities that you had informed, shared this information with the FBI/State/Justice authorities as well to have a quicker conclusion to this scam. Of course we will never know, but we all have a role to play for the good side, keeping vigilant without being paranoid, warning others as we travel along in life together.~Brant

It is finally good to know that Justice has prevailed today although brings little comfort just the same. Feldman received 16 years jail time and the Judge also ordered repayment of $2 million to the victims of the transplant scheme, and an earlier Medicare fraud in Florida.

Good to hear, Brant. I know it doesn't make up for your loss.

Sluff, I had no idea about your assistance in all of this. Whether it ultimately was the key or not, thank you for your dedication to the effort.
