Went to the grocery store today and couldn't resist the book section. Bought a couple new books to read. One is called Caught by Harlan Coben and the other is The Things We Do For Love, by Kristin Hannah. I haven't been reading as much lately and have missed it, and it does help with stress relief which is a good thing. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

I recently joined the library because I just can't afford the buy the hundreds of books I want to read.  I was there today and picked up a couple of books and placed about 5 others on hold.  I love reading; it is a good coping mechanism for me.  An artfully told story...there's nothing like it.

It's a bit rainy here, too.  Good day for reading.

Going through life tied to a chair!

As fast as I read I'd rather buy the book than pay the Library for late fees.

My brother-in-law is letting me read his book (that I bought him for Christmas) Going Rogue by Sarah Palin.  It is really good so far.  I love reading about other peoples' lives.  I have to buy him a new one now.....
I left it on the floor in my bedroom and Tia found it and ripped up the paper cover and chewed into the hard bound cover too.  My fault, but I can't wait until this puppy stage is OVER!  She graduated from Puppy Beginner Training Today.  I think she needs Advanced!

Karen, I just finished reading three of Kristin Hannah's books.   Firefly Lane (about lifelong friends)    True Colors (about 3 sisters)  and Winter Garden (about a mother and her daughters relationships)    I really enjoyed all of them.  I related to someone in each of the books.   I can send you Firefly Lane -  I have an extra copy. PM you address and I will mail it.        I read a lot and have read several "heavy" books and just needed some good fiction to lighten my mood.   Each book did make me cry though!!!         I would be lost without books.   My sister just lent me a quilt series of novels, so may start on one of them tonight.     Hope you enjoy your new books    :2thumbsup;

I just love Hrlan Coben, in fact I am reading one of his "Reacher" books now. I love reading for pleasure. It just makes the world go away.

I splurged and bought the new Jim Butcher novel today.  Ahhh, the joy of having a new book in a favorite series just waiting to be chomped into....

I love books. But I don't like paperbacks. If there's a choice, I always buy the hardback version.
