Hi Everyone!

In March 2010 I had a GRF of 18% and 2.8 creatinine level.  I am hoping for a preemptive transplant as I have two siblings willing to donate.  I wish I didn't have a reason to be here :sos;

 :welcomesign;  to IHD.  Forget the punishment idea...it's totally useless and simply gets in the way of effective coping.  I've never met a single person who likes needles and even junkies would probably prefer a better "delivery system". This illness is challenging but challenges CAN be met (as a young widowed Mom you likely could teach everyone a thing or two about challenges) and we're here to support you with meeting this one.
All best wishes for the pre-emptive transplant and kudos to your siblings for stepping up to the plate.  Living donors ROCK.

Hi Trix and welcome to IHD.  I figure I was a mean kid so I'm stuck on a machine the rest of my life!  I hope you get your transplant before you need dialysis.  Just remember to take your medication and watch your weight once you get your kidney.

I'm glad you found us.

What kind of work do you do?
