If anyone has any suggestions or past history with low WBC please I would be so thankful for any input.....My WBC count dropped at three months post-transplant to 0.2 and I started giving myself Neupogen injections. I was admitted to the hospital shortly after that with a 102 fever. I was given steroids and antibiotics and sent home after four days. My WBC count went up to 11 and then dropped to 5 and now is hovering around 1.2! I'm still giving myself injections but they don't seem to be working. I am so grateful for my new kidney but it  is so frustrating that I can't go out and enjoy my new life because I may catch a cold or worse........am I expecting too much too soon?

I am on Prograf and Cellcept. I am on the lowest dose possible of both....I also still take Valcyte because I am CMV- and donor was CMV+. They held the Valcyte for awhile but my WBC still dropped. They have lowered my Cellcept to almost nothing. Maybe it's time to switch meds?

Jenna had the same problem so she is now on 1/4 of a Cellcept tablet and 1.5 of Prograf twice a day. Hopefully it will come up a bit next labs.

I am thinking it is meds related. My creatine bounces around too anytime they adjust my meds. I go back to the clinic on Monday for labs and to see the doc. Hopefully my levels will be up by then....I have one more shot of Neupogen before labs. I'm crossing my fingers. I don't want to end up in the hospital in the "bubble" again!

I am on the same meds, CellCept and Prograf. I was CMV - while my donor was psotive for CMV which I developed CMV later. When I was put on Nuepogen I had to take it for several months before my WBC became stable. Keep pushing fluids to hel creatine results oo. Hopefully your WBC wil become stable soon.
