 :bandance; :cheer:

I had a call today from the transplant co-ordinator with good news.
I am no 13 on the transplant list (out of +-184) This June it will be 2 years!!!!!

I have accumulated 7.5 marks so far (the guy in no1 has 13)

I am getting closer people. And here I was thinking I was off the list. :yahoo; :yahoo;

When you get in the top 10 you have to have blood sent to them monthly. They keep it on ice and can do a quick match test before they phone you.

PEOPLE THIS IS JUST GREAT!!!! I have  roundabout a year or so left. ( I am guessing here)

Great! Good luck to you!  :2thumbsup;
Our transplant wait list is on a national level and because it's based on tissue match it's a moving target as to what ranking a patient would have, depending on who matches with the deceased donor at the time. There are some patients who have been waiting over 10 years, while others get a perfect match and get transplanted quickly.
