My machine checks the system every 30 minutes....  everything slows down and caution 2 comes on....   are other people machine  doing the same.... why does this need to be checked every 30 min.....  I see that it can be changed for a differnt time......

This is just the default that is used when setup. Check with your nurse to see if you can change this to a longer perioud. Can be changed in the system settings. I believe it is system setting # 43.

Many centers require a certain interval to perform the system checks due to billing guidelines. ( yes it comes down to $ )  If Medicare was to pull your flow sheets and see that nothing or very little was written down on the flow sheets, they may question the treatment and affect billing.....

Of course every center has different guidelens. Also if you are on nocturnal, you are not going to check every 30 minutes as you will be sleeping.

Yes it does all come down to billing!  I wish the machine would just beam the info over to the center.
