Hi all,

Just to let you all know i had my live donor transplant from my mum on the 4th Jan. Thanks for the emails i had from some people i dont even know.

Mums fine and was out after 4 days. The Kidney started well but decided to go on overtime and i was on 3 separate drips at one point to get fluid in, on the first day after transplant i peed 12 litres!

But i calmed down and i was back at home after 6 days in hospital. My creat level fell from 900 to 500 to 200 and now sitting around 120.

Ive had my lines out yesterday which feels great and I'm back at work very part time and feel totally different as a person, also Ive lost 25kgs (55lbs) in 2 months so my clothes fit again.

All i hope is this gives others who may be lucky enough to have a live donor, confidence to go ahead.

Cheers and thanks to those on here for support. I will keep contributing and keep in touch after all its a long road still.
