just wanted to share about my day, there is no one round to giggle and be happy with so i thought u guys might like to join in my happiness...

I wasn't looking forward to today, It was promising to be a long hard day but turned in my favour!

Went to get the train  this morning, it snowed a bit last night so its still freezing, I usually have to wait 10 mins, but the train showed up on time, so i didn't have to wait in the cold.

The train was at 7, which means my train voucher is invalid (it gets me a 3rd off the fare but can only be used after 10am), the conductor was really nice and let me use it anyway.

I had a really good appointment

I bumped into a friend I haven't seen for ages and we are planning on meeting up.

I get back to find a cheque for £50 which was a thankyou for some voluntary work I done months ago at this kids concert band (I had helped out for the fun of it and wasn't expecting to get any money for it)

I check my emails and find the class I was supposed to have at 4 this afternoon was cancelled, so I get to relax.

I phoned my mum, and she managed to get off work early so we can spend the afternoon together doing something other than talking about work or dialysis!

I feel really happy today, and I just wanted to share it with someone  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Getting the heck out of town.

Woke up this morning feeling quite low and this was the first thing I read.

Thank you!  I'm going to look for somethings today to be able to post here at bedrime.  <Giggle>  That's the key, isn't it?  I mean, its is all in what you look for?

Yeh, it was nice chatting. My internet ended up messing up and I had to go offline, hopefully it won't happen again. I felt so rude going without saying goodbye. Today is still going great. Me and my mum have just been sitting talking and laughing. She thinks IHD is great, and the encouragement and advice from the post about me feeling guilty lead to us airing a lot of concerns which are now in the process. After such a great start im starting to wonder if I should go put some numbers on the lottery. lol

    Jenny thanks for sharing. :2thumbsup; :2thumbsup; :2thumbsup;  Reading something like this is such a joy.  It appears you already helped Dan today.  There are good days and bad days, just remember the good ones do happen when bad ones show up.
    I'm glad it was a good one for you.  :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

Thanks for reading! I think these days when I share stuff like this with my friends they kinda just look at me as if to say "and this is so special because" its good to have people that understand! I hope you have all had a good day today, and if you haven't im praying for everyone tonight. DW I'm looking forward to read what you have found   :)

We are planning a girlie night tonight. My sister is home from school so we have face-packs, manicure and pedicure packs, i'm gonna treat myself to a wee glass of wine, we have some chick-flick movies, and our fav game monopoly! My mum wants to say hi to all you guys.

Good for you Jen - having a good day is always a bonus, specially with a surprise 50 quid and spending quality time with friends and family doing "normal" stuff. All that kind of stuff is the sort of thing that reminds you why Dialysis can be good - it keeps us going to enjoy things like that in life. It can be so positive to just enjoy a day not thinking about kidney stuff and doing fun stuff.

You were 100% lucky - that's awesome!

ps: you look great in green!!! ;)  >:D :bow;
