Sluff was driving his big rig (lovingly nicknamed Susie for our dear departed Goofynina) down through California on his way to New Mexico this morning. He called me when he realized he was going to pass close to Pasadena. I had just walked back from the Rose Parade (also only got 4 hours sleep the night before.) Ok so there's a reason I look so tired - that's my story and I am sticking to it. I told Sluff that about 1 million people were in the process of leaving the parade route, and another 90,000 were entering the area for the Rose Bowl game. Well, we finally decided on a freeway offramp west of here where I could come meet him. What a great surprise! I haven't seen him since the Chicago IHD meet and this is the first time I have seen Susie. Sluff looked great and Susie was shining and beautiful! Sluff left his rig and we headed to In-N-Out for a quick lunch, and it was fun to see him have his first Double-Double EVER! We took a few photos and off he went, back on the highway. It was a perfect New Year's Day!

He was on a mission to get out of town. I barely had enough time with him, but I am still glad we had a few minutes. Next time he's heading for California we will have to pin him down for a mini-IHD meet!

Nice picture of you two.  I just had to look to see who was wearing the father time costume and who was the New Year baby in a diaper.  As I said,  nice picture but I was a little disappointed iin the costumes.  dw

It doesn't get much better than Sluff, Okarol and In and Out burgers!  So glad you guys had a few moments together.   And Susie looks great! (wouldn't Goofynina have loved that big purple truck?)     Good to see pics of our sweet Sluff   :cuddle;

Quite the trick getting that truck up and down the big hill at the exit but it was fun and well worth it. I will do almost anything for a free lunch... :rofl; thanks Karol.   :grouphug;
