Well went to A & E and they were most concerned. Going to see an eye specialist on weds , suspected Glaucoma as i have twice as much eye pressure in my left eye as my right. As soon as i got back i rang the renal unit to update them and let them know im probably going to still have problems tomorrow doing my full quota. Well looks like even the nice sister is getting pissed off with me now as well. Gave me a lecture on how i needed to do my 4 hours (as if i didnt know) The doctor today just said do as much as i can bear. The sister then started to say well you've got pain killers now so why would it be a problem? WTF? I havent got painkillers , painkillers dont touch it , what i do have are muscle relaxants , which obviously dont have any effect on my eye pain. So on top of everything else it looks like another fight tomorrow if i cant do 4 hours. Is it any wonder i want to call it a day ?

Kickstart, my understanding is that dialysis is a treatment of choice.  If you say you want to get off the machine they have to take you off. They will encourage you to stay on but in the end it is your decision. Most places though they get you to sign a waiver if you get off early that if anything happens to you they will not be held responsible.

Bear with it, KS....

Just do what you can tomorrow.....

You're obviously getting to the bottom of the problem with the eye problem... Have you been seen by a pain specialist???... Mum's back problem was MUCH worse on haemo... Pain Clinic were able to prescribe some things that made her a whole lot more comfortable... Might be worth a try!...

Hope you get sorted out quickly....

Keep the flag flying...

Dialysis day today was bloody awful ! 2 hours in and pain in my head and eye started , also started vomiting. Although nurses had kinder attitude they managed to make me stay on for 3 hrs 50 mins , was it worth taking me off 10 mins early. Seems like now they have come up with a list of excuses that i cant argue with, like ive just got to take such a body off now, i will be back shortly to take you off, shortly being 40 mins, then taking the longest time ever to actually set up to take me off , then going to get something for my lines that they have forgotten. Anything to make the time spin out. Also i cant believe my test results , all clear ! WTF? 2 weeks of food going straight through me , about 8 times out of 10 passing blood , vomiting for the first week, how can this be nothing ? Oh forgot to add (dont know how!) when the pain kicked in i had a DIASTOLIC  yes i do mean DIASTOLIC( not SYSTOLIC ) of 145 !!!   :o :o :o :pray; :o :o :o
