My fistula has been in my upper left arm for about 3 to 4 months now, but I just recently started using a 15 gauge needle. My hand always went a little numb during treatment, but the last couple times I've been getting a pain that runs down my arm from the site and a much worse numbness. Does this get better over time? This is "steal syndrome", right?

Dankicks.........Mine did the same thing. I don't know if thats what they call steel syndrone or not. But when I washed dishes by hand my hand and wrist throbbed and went numb. Once my button holes were established it went away. Dr figured a nerve was being irritated. Now the only problem I have is itching from the tape. Hope it gets better for you.
