Hello all you folks out there, need your comments and advice. :bow;  We have been trying to travel to Mexico for about a year now.  Hubby had a rough start with PD but has finally gotten on a treatment sch. that has him feeling pretty good !  Talked to Baxter they are they supplier of Stan's diasylate.  They say "no problem" they would ship to Mx.  But Fersenius says they will not pay for international shipment and they would have to bill us for the diasylate.  There is no way I can afford to pay for the diasylate.

I am sure there are folks out there that have traveled internationally and have some advice for me.  Are we staying home or can we go on vacation?

Thanks,
CCStan

 :cheer: Just got off the phone with Fersenius....Hooray  :bandance; They WILL pay for 30 day shipment to Cancun,Mx.  For future reference if anyone is having difficulty with travel plans talk to Rachel at Fersenius (international) travel desk.  She is very knowlegable and helpful.  Our clinic nurse really tried but unfortunately she has not had anyone travel out of country and stated Medicare would not reimburse the clinic same with sociial worker.  Rachel was able to contact them and give them the info they needed to OK the shipment!!  :yahoo;

So barring all unforseen problems. we're are off !!  Now to deal with the airlines. This will be our first experience traveling while on PD. :pray;

Thanks,

That's great - it pays to keep researching - seems like most social workers don't have all the info we need.
 :2thumbsup; Have a great trip! (Don't drink the water!)
