Good idea Twirl.  I have a feeling her wasn't a Christmas present kind of guy though.  I was assuming a moderator type would already have tried his email.  Is this not the case?  Who would be in charge of this?

That is why the Emergency Contact List is so important to us hanging here waiting to hear something.  At least with the Emergency Contact List an Admin could call a family member to see what's up.

Getting the heck out of town.

but everyone was given the opportunity to get on the emergency contact list.  i remember sending my information to sluff or okarol...  David chose not to send it I suppose (or else they have contacted someone).  I got the distinct impression he did want personal information out on himself.  Actually, he ignored any direct questions.

I have decided to hope that David just got annoyed with certain posts (yes it's possible it's the one I started) and left.  The reason I am hoping that my post made him leave is that the alternative is that something serious happened to him.  He left the day I started that 'who is David13' post - and I just don't believe in co-incidences.  I'm sorry he left, but I'm not sorry I started the post.  It was just light hearted fun.

Twirl I checked the 2008 list and David13 did not participate.  I am very worried about him but there seems to be nothing we can do.  I truly believe he would at least post once to say he was OK if he knew how worried we all are, or reply to a PM, and I can only think that something awful has happened.  Either that or he had somethign to hide and really was scared that we were going to find out who he is - but as Hanify said that was only a bit of fun and he always seemed to have a sense of humour. I'm away for a while now, I hope for news of him when I get back.............but I think it's unlikely. How worrying. :(

David, seemed to be a very Intelligent Person ( ever play Word Games with Him? ) and He seemed to be in Control.
We all come to this Site, because it meets a Need, in Our Lives, relevant, to what is going on with us. Perhaps, this Site, had done all it could do for Him and He just moved on. If He came to this Site often and felt Comfortable, here, then this Site fullfilled His Need at that Point in His Life.

I think this is a lovely post.  Very wise words.  Thank you   :cuddle;    I, also, miss David.

I do not think David13 just moved on --- we pm'ed each other all the time ---
( >:( this yellow face was a joke between us )
he knew I cared about and worried about him and he would not just go and let me worry --
I know he had a big heart --
something is wrong --
he would not just leave without a goodbye -

Twirl, I feel the same way. I feel such a sense of loss. And lack of closure...

Sad.
