Hello Everyone--

I'm a 36yo male in the state of Missouri.  I just discoverd this site today and decided to take a peek.  I'm been on Hemo Dialysis for 14 years now.  I've never had a transplant and I decided years ago that I would not have one.  Although I have had to make major adjustments since being on dialysis, I consider myself one of the fortunate ones.  I've been able to maintain a high quality of life.  I have worked full time the entire time on dialysis.  I'm able to travel quite a bit and I try to make the best of this bad situation.  I'm planning to go back to college in January after being out for 10 years.  I'm looking forward to the conversations on this message board.

Hi stlsigma and welcome to our site.  We have a few members (including the owner) who have chosen dialysis over a transplant for many reasons.  It is an individual decision.  Thank you!!!  That is one less on the list I have to step over!  :)

Enjoy the site.  There are thousands of posts to read, but they are interesting.   :welcomesign;
