Hello Everyone,
I went in the hospital to have a heart cath the last test before the transplant and they found I had blockage on both valves to
and from my heart. I just had open heart surgery, I am still in ICU but will be moved to a room today.

I will be going home tomorrow. I am in a room now. Still having some pain and discomfort but feeling better. I am doing my exchanges in my room the nurses here know NOTHING about PD, They are not interested either because not one has come in the room to watch.   When I first was put in ICU I could not talk because I was still on the ventilator. I could hear them saying that they were going to put 2 2ml bags in me. I was panicking and going crazy twisting and turning and my hands were tied so that I would not pull the tube out.  I kept trying to say one bag. I finally got them to let my sister stay while they did it and she helped them and told them one 2ml bag.I was a crazy woman. I don't know what would have happened and I didn't want to find out. After that I did them all

Wow Betty.  Hopefully this will improve your health generally.  Maybe you won't feel so bloated?

I am glad you are fixed up now.

I hope you feel better soon......

How will this affect your transplant plans?

I am going for an angiogram end August and I am SO scared.

Man oh man!  A heart Cath is bad enough let alone what you had to go through.  I hope you get a transplant soon.  You deserve it.

Thanks for all the support and concern. I had the triple bypass on 8/14 so this Friday it will be 3 weeks.  I am doing much better although the comeback is not as fast as previous surgeries that I have had.
The transplant hospital called me Friday to say that the transplant will be postponed for 3 months. I almost told him I don't care if I never get it. I was so sick that day. So I am supposed to be better now with the bypass surgery.
I am taking one day at a time.
