Hope everyone living in the areas getting hit with the Lake Effect Snow (and now possible flooding) are safe, warm and able to continue their dialysis. How do you guys do it??

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

I lived in Ct all my life until I was about 30.and we were so used to it, it didn't bother us. Now that I am a permanently transplanted Californian, I wonder how we did it. One year, we had to boost our oldest child out of a window so he could get the snow off the porch and we could get out of the house. Now tho, if I get to 70, its times for the blankets. God help those people and get them thru this, please.
